Traditional Cormorant Fishing:

Gifu Prefecture, located in the central region of Japan, is known for its rich natural beauty, history, and cultural heritage. Here are some highlights featuring the charm of Gifu, including Saito Dosan, Oda Nobunaga, Gifu Castle, Ukai, Takayama, Mino Washi, Lanterns, Onsen, and Seki blades:

Ukai (Cormorant Fishing): This traditional fishing method, using trained cormorants on the Nagara River, is a popular summer attraction in Gifu city. Visitors can watch from boats. For dinner on the boat, eat a traditional Japanese bento box.

Traditional YUKATA wearing experience:

You can experience wearing a traditional Japanese Yukata, which is a casual type of kimono. The price is 15,000 yen for women and 10,000 yen for men. This plan can be applied as an option with the cormorant fishing boat ride.

Saito Dosan and Oda Nobunaga:

Known as the 'Viper of Mino', Saito Dosan rose from obscure origins to become the ruler of Mino province (today's southern Gifu). His daughter Nohime was married to Oda Nobunaga, one of Japan's most prominent warlords. Nobunaga used Gifu Castle as his base, famously renaming his clan's domain to Gifu.

Gifu Castle:

Perched atop Mount Kinka, Gifu Castle offers panoramic views of the city. Once a residence of Oda Nobunaga, the castle now houses a museum showcasing samurai artifacts.
